Extension to Mawlamyine (Mawlamyine) – Hpa-an


Mawlamyine is situated 300 km from Yangon. It lies at the mouth of Thanlwin river is also known as Moulmein, is the capital of Mon State. It served as the capital of British Burma from 1827 to 1852. It is the third largest city in Myanmar.

Day 1: Yangon –Mawlamyine

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mawlamyine about 8 hours driving ( 300 km) from Yangon. Upon arrival transfer to hotel and visit U Zina pagoda, Sein Don wooden monastery has some excellent woodcarving which is over a hundred years old and well decorated colorful pavement made of glass from Murano Italy. Finally, enjoy the sunset from Kyaik thalan pagoda, known as the Kipling pagoda. Overnight at Mawlamyine.Day 2 : Mawlamyine- Bilu Isalnd
Morning breakfast at the hotel.Cross over Than Lwin river by boat. Upon arrival to other bank of river (Bilu Island) visit to the villages in which villager produce carpet made of coconut shell, lavagna for writing, rubber rings. Villages are subject to visit my local transport (pick up).In the afternoon back to Mawlamyine. Short drive to Win Sein Taw Ya in which there is the world longest reclining Buddha and short visit to Hpa Auk meditation center.

Day 3 : Mawlamyine- Hpa-an

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Trandsfer to Hpa-an. On the way visit Khayone cave,famous wooden U Hna Aunk monadtery in kawnyet village, Sadan Cave , Kayin village which is famous for weaving. Upon arrival check in at the hotel and overnithe at Hpa-an.

Day 4 : Hpa-an to Yangon via Bago

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Drive back to Yangon. After short drive visit to Kyauk Htat pagoda which has unusal shape situated in the middle of the lake and beautiful for photo shoot with Zwe Ka Bin mountain. On the way visit to Kaw Kon cave.  Stop to visit Bago.  Overnight at Yangon.
